Privacy Policy
This policy explains how information is handled when you use K-Food Quest.
Information Stored on Your Device
K-Food Quest does not require an account. Food diary entries, ratings, notes, preferences, photos, favorites, and onboarding choices are stored locally on your device. BRDY Studios does not operate a server that receives this diary content.
Optional Usage Analytics
Firebase Analytics is disabled until you choose “Share usage data.” If enabled, Google may process app interactions, feature usage, purchase events, an app installation identifier, general location derived from a masked IP address, and basic device, app, and diagnostic information. Analytics events do not include diary notes, photos, precise location, or other text you enter. You can turn analytics off in Settings.
K-Food Quest configures these optional events for first-party product analytics and does not permit them to be used for advertising personalization or advertising user data. Advertising consent is handled separately.
Advertising
The free version uses Google Mobile Ads and Google’s User Messaging Platform. Depending on your region, device settings, consent choices, and ad-serving mode, Google and its partners may process an IP address used to estimate general location, app and advertisement interactions, crash and performance information, device or advertising identifiers, and advertising data. This information may be used for advertising, analytics, ad measurement, fraud prevention, security, and service operation.
Where required, you can revisit advertising consent choices from Settings > Privacy choices. On iOS, after any required regional advertising consent has been handled, K-Food Quest may ask for permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework. If you allow tracking, Google Mobile Ads may access the iOS advertising identifier and use it for personalized advertising and advertising measurement. If you decline, K-Food Quest remains fully usable and ads may still be served without the iOS advertising identifier. You can review the system-level permission in iOS Settings.
Data Storage and Security
- Personal food diary content remains exclusively on your device.
- No diary text, photos, or personal content is transmitted to our servers.
- Deleting the app removes locally stored content, subject to device backups managed separately by Apple or Google.
Backup and Restore
Backups are created only when you explicitly initiate the action and are saved to a location you choose. BRDY Studios does not receive or have access to your backup files. You are responsible for managing and protecting them.
Amazon Affiliate Links
Some food pages contain optional Amazon Associate links. Opening a link may send Amazon the product or search query, the BRDY Studios Associate tag, and standard web or app request information. Purchases occur outside K-Food Quest. As an Amazon Associate, BRDY Studios earns from qualifying purchases.
In-App Purchases
The optional Pro Upgrade is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. BRDY Studios does not receive full payment-card details. The app receives purchase status information needed to unlock or restore Pro features.
Third-Party Services
Google Mobile Ads, Google User Messaging Platform, Firebase Analytics, Amazon, Apple App Store, and Google Play operate under their own privacy policies. Learn more at Google’s Privacy Policy, Apple’s Privacy Policy, and Amazon’s Privacy Notice. We do not sell personal diary content.
Your Choices
You may delete local diary entries, turn usage analytics off, revisit available advertising consent choices, manage device-level advertising settings, create or restore a user-initiated backup, or delete the app.
Children’s Privacy
K-Food Quest is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app or its service providers change. Significant changes will be communicated in the app or on this website.
